UKWULU MONARCH TASKS AFFLUENTS TO SHOW KINDNESS AS THEY CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS
The Traditional Ruler of Ukwulu Ancient Kingdom in Dunukofia Local Government Area, Igwe Peter Anaukwu Uyanwa, has advised the affluents in the Society to take advantage of the Christmas Celebration to show little kindness to the less privilege individuals around them to enable them rejoice with others as the Christan Community all over the World Celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
Igwe Peter Uyanwa ,who was speaking in his 2021 Christmas Message in his palace before Journalists at Ukwulu,reminded the people, especially the rich in the Society that there is need for them to use their God given wealth to care for the well being of their neighbours at a time like this with a view to putting smiles on their faces.
The Monarch, who noted that there is joy in sharing, applauded the Governor Willie Obiano’s routine gesture every year to the Civil Servants in the State and thanked God that the issue of the Anambra International Cargo/Passengers Airport at Umueri Communityhas come to reality with the commencement of commercial flights on the Airport.
He warned the youths of the Community and Anambra State in general to delink themselves from indulging in nefarious acts that could ruins their lives with particular reference to consumption of methamphetamine and other illicit drugs that are inimical to human lives.
He commended the legacy projects of Governor Willie Obiano led administration scattered every nook and crannies of the State and expressed hope that the Governor elect and a former Governor Central Bank of Nigeria ,Professor Charles Soludo and his Deputy Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim will no doubt consolidated on the infrastructure development projects of the present Government in the State ,especially in the area of road construction.
Igwe Uyanwa, the immediate past Chairman Traditional Rulers Council, Anambra Central, pleaded with Nigerian Government at all levels and those in the private Sector to work towards creating job opportunities to the jobless Nigerian youths in other to stem the exponential increase on kidnapping, banditry,extra judicial killings, broad day light armed rubbery and other obnoxious criminal acts that are inimical to the unity and progress of the Country.
