Other injured officers were rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Asaba, where they were receiving treatment.

“The hoodlums ambushed the Army personnel and killed three of them while others were rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Asaba.

When contacted, Delta Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed that the traditional ruler was beheaded.

“The crisis is between two communities in the local government area but I don’t know the cause yet.

“I can confirm that the king was beheaded but I cannot confirm the killing of the Army personnel,” he added.

Meanwhile, a soldier, whose identity was yet to be disclosed, stabbed a ticket agent, Ibrahim Ikudaisi, aka Guardian, to death over an N100 ticket fee in the Oshodi area of Lagos State.

It all started when Ikudaisi was visiting stores to demand the levy from different traders in the Oshodi market.
