Three persons have been killed in a fresh attack around the Narayi area of Kaduna State, following a violence that broke out in the state on Sunday.
Residents who preferred to speak off camera said the attackers stormed the community in the early hours of Monday morning and opened fire on some men who were guarding the area.
According to the residents, the men had mobilised themselves to guard the community when the crisis broke out, to avoid any intruder from entering the community because of the curfew.
The State Commissioner of Police, Ahmad Abdulrahman, has confirmed the incident saying that investigation into the matter has commenced.
He noted that some group of youths had attacked a team of soldiers deployed to the area to maintain law and order with some dangerous weapons when they were asked to go back, and in the process three among them were shot.
The police boss, however, explained that normalcy has returned to the area following the deployment of more security personnel.
