The Director General of Importers Association of Nigeria Taskforce, IMAN, Amb. Chijioke Okoro John has censured the planned protest by the Nigerian Youths asserting that it’s faceless, politically motivated and won’t make any palpable or perceptible impact.

Speaking to newsmen today in Port Harcourt, the DG maintained that a protest that doesn’t have organisers is definitely not worth embarking on because it must end in utmost poignancy “I’m vehemently averse to this protest, how can you embark on a protest and there are no organisers, there is no dialogue,no ultimatum to the government, nobody to dialogue with me government, nobody to tell the government their demands; different groups are saying differently things at different times, it’s a baseless and a faceless protest, it’s explicit that there’s intense austerity and the Nigerian economy is pale, leading to privation and food scarcity but we shouldn’t compound our woes by embarking on a faceless protest, only one person has come out to identify himself,Sowore that has been talking is not in Nigeria, people need to be judicious and meticulous in their dealings,if Sowore feels the protest is important to him and he wants to show us that he’s patriotic, let him come back to Nigeria for the protest “.

He urged Nigerians not to emulate Kenya because we are bigger than them and the complexity involved is enormous “Nigerians are praising Kenyans, Nigeria is not Kenya, Kenya is a small East African country, we shouldn’t juxtapose ourselves with them, as the DG of IMAN, I want to state it categorically that we refuse to a part of this show of cowards that call themselves protesters, we all await the 1st of August to witness their ludicrous and propesterous display”.
