THE FLOOD AT OGIDI PALACE IS A SIGN: SEND AN IDENMILI SON OF THE SOIL TO REPRESENT ANAMBRA CENTRAL
I commiserate with His Royal Majesty, Igwe Alex Onyido, Eze Ogidi, the Cabinet, and the entire people of Ogidi over the flood that overran the Palace following the heavy downpour of rain today.
The images from the Palace are painful. Water is a symbol of life, but when it becomes destructive, it is a sign that calls for reflection, prayer, and action.
Beyond sympathy, this flood is a sign to Ndi Anambra Central.
It is a sign that our District needs representation with deep roots, moral authority, and a voice that will be respected in Abuja and at home.
It is time for Anambra Central to send an Idemmili son of the soil.
As a Priest, a community leader, and someone who joined politics to rescue her people, I understand that leadership is about service, not self. The problems of flooding, erosion, poor drainage, and collapsed infrastructure in Idemmili North, Idemmili South, and across Anambra Central require a representative who feels the pain first-hand and who will fight for solutions at the National Assembly.
What I will do:
- Advocate for urgent ecological funds and drainage projects for Ogidi, Nkpor, Obosi, and other flood-prone communities.
- Work with traditional institutions like the Palace of Igwe Ogidi to ensure government projects respect our culture and reach the grassroots.
- Be a voice that will be heard and respected in the Senate on matters affecting Anambra Central from erosion to youth empowerment to support for our elders.
The Labour Party stands for RESCUE. RESULTS. REPRESENTATION.
Ndi Anambra Central deserve a Senator who is not a visitor to their pain, but a son of the soil who lives it.
I pray for God’s comfort for Igwe Ogidi and for all families affected by the flood. May God protect our land and grant us leaders with the fear of God and the heart to serve.
