The Book ‘Abuse Of Right’ Launched, Film Premiered In Awka
Abuse of Right, a book has been launched and its film premiered in Awka, Anambra state.
The book and film authored by Blessing Chinenye-David talked about male sexual molestation, which most times are under-reported or silenced by the society.
The event had in attendance Media executives, Actors, Authors, Publishers, Family and friends among other numerous dignitaries.
Speaking during the event, the Managing Director, Anambra Newspaper and Printing Company, Sir Chuka Nnabuife who is the chairman of the occasion, described the book as an interventionist that was birthed to once again re-awaken the consciousness of the contemporary society on male child sexual molestation, especially during their adolescent age and described the author as a talented writer who has done much in a little time, urging all parents caregivers and other concerned individuals to get a copy of the book.
The book reviewer, Barrister . MCO Obieky said that the seven chapter book is a masterpiece which must be in every household, and praised the author for defending those that appear to be defenceless in terms of sexual molestation in the society.
The author, Blessing Chinenye-David told ABS that the book was borne out of her desire to speak for young make children who often times are abused by their caregivers without anyone speaking for them and made it clear that she writes mostly for passion and not for material gains.
Blessing Chinenye-David so far has six books to her name.
A veteran actor, Bob -Manuel Udokwu, Anambra Broadcasting Service On-Air Personality , Ify Aronu-Okafor, a seasoned publisher, Chika Okeke-Jerry were among the dignitaries that graced the event.
