Terror attack k!lls 34 in Kebbi
Jihadists from the Lakurawa group k!lled 34 villagers and razed seven communities in Kebbi State’s Bui district Wednesday, police said. The attacks struck Mamunu, Awasaka, Tungan Tsoho, Makangara, Kanzo, Gorun Naidal, and Dan Mai Ago, targeting residents who tried to resist. Cattle were also stolen. Security forces have been deployed to the area.
The raids come days after the Argungu fishing festival and add to Nigeria’s ongoing insecurity, including jihadist insurgencies, banditry, and kidnappings in the north.
