Termination Of Appointment Awaits Schools Principals flagged for Examination Malpractice

The Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh has said unequivocally that Principals of schools where examination malpractice occured would face the consequences, including possible termination.

Prof. Chuma-Udeh said this while addressing Principals of schools during a briefing session organized by the West African Examination Council (WAEC), Anambra State at St. John of God’s Secondary School, Awka in anticipation of the 2023 West African Senior School Certificate Examination for in-school candidates.

She recently announced that due to the poor performance of supervisors, which led to instances of examination malpractice in certain schools, all previously nominated supervisors have been relieved of their duties as Soludo’s administration is bent on checkmating examination malpractice in the state.

The Education Commissioner stressed that with the collaboration of Principals, Anambra State could reclaim its standing as the hub of educational excellence.

The Principals promised to wholeheartedly support Commissioner Chuma-Udeh’s efforts to eliminate all forms of examination malpractice in Anambra State. (MOI)
