Stocks Drag Market Down by N663bn
The Nigerian stock market lost N663 billion on Wednesday, with Conoil and Guinness Nigeria leading declines. Market capitalization fell to N89.564 trillion from N90.227 trillion, while the All-Share Index dropped 0.73% to 141,566.31.
Conoil and Guinness Nigeria both fell 9.98%, while other major losers included Consolidated Hallmark and Royal Exchange. Market activity slowed, with 721.82 million shares worth N12.94 billion traded.
