Soludo Tasks Anambra Assembly Members On Productive Partnership

Governor Chukwuma Soludo has conducted the proclamation of the Eighth Anambra State House of Assembly, with a call for collaborative efforts in the service to Ndị Anambra.

The proclamation of the Eighth Assembly, was followed by the election of principal officers of the house.

Governor Soludo, who called for their productive partnership, said the mantra remains one Anambra, one people, one agenda.

While describing the successful inauguration as a watershed in the journey to build livable and prosperous homeland, Governor Soludo called on the thirty members to always abide by the oath of office and allegiance they swore.

The new Speaker, Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze, who noted that that others were eligible to stand for the election, described the outcome as a new dawn and expressed gratitude to them for reposing confidence in him.

He added that irrespective of political affiliations, the interest of ndị Anambra remained at the front-burner, emphasizing that the Eighth Assembly will become responsible partners in governance.

Also speaking the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, described the new members as young and vibrant with requisite experience to represent their people.

In their separate reactions , the Traditional ruler of Umueri, Igwe Ben Emeka and the President General, Anambra State Association of Town Unions, ASATU, Barrister Titus Akpudo, expressed optimism that the reconstituted Assembly will work in harmony with other arms of government to deliver the dream Anambra State.

The National Chairman, All-Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Barrister Sylvester Ezeokenwa, Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, Head of Service, Barrister Theodora Igwegbe, Principal Secretary to the Governor, Barrister Joachin Anaeto and members of the State Executive Council, attended the event that featured swearing-in of other members.
