St Peter’s Church Oba Women give succor to patient, admonished to raise godly homes

St Peter’s Anglican Church, Oba Women in Idemili South, Anambra State have given succor to a sick man who came to their Annual Home and Abroad Women’s August meeting to assist in his medication.

They women were also admonished to raise godly children that will turn out to be responsible members of the larger soceity who believe in hardwork, dignity of labor not after get rich quick syndrome.

Presenting the cash donation to the patient (name withheld) the National President St Peter’s Church Oba Home and Abroad Women, Mummy Chimebele Chukwuka(Ngalakwesili) said that the focus of the new leadership was to take the women’s fellowship to enviable heights.

“Our August meeting is already taking a different shape. We will go beyond just gathering for fund raising. We are taking evangelism, helping the needy and human capital development very serious.

“Older mothers should encourage their daughters in-law to be committed in this August meeting, the things of God and raising godly children who will not be a menace to our society.

“I used to shy away from the August meeting but my mother inlaw used to encourage me to be fully committed now I have learned a lot and I have come to the position to influence others positively,’ said Mrs Chukwuka.

According to the 1st Vice President, Mrs Ngozi Onwuka, we were admonished by Evang. Mabel Anachuna who expatiated our Synod theme-‘ Go, make disciples of all Nations.

“We are to propagate the gospel beginning from our immediate family. The word of God should be read through us and seen in us character wise, that is the only way the soceity can be a better place,”said Mrs Onwuka.

A former National President, Lady Vicky Onyeka (Ezeluagbo) urged women to avoid pushing their children into unprepared marriage, quest for wealth without basic home training saying that parents sometimes contribute to youths indulging in certain vices because of unhealthy comparison.

The Secretary, Mrs Ndidi Asuzu pleaded with mothers in-law to allow couples manage their marriage as husband and wife who can learn from their mistakes saying mothers can advise their sons without being domineering.
