Some government officials are guests to the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission, ICPC over sharing of N6.7B Universal Basic Education Commission, UBEC projects to government officials and cronies.

Also, other anti-graft agencies and the office of the Anambra State Auditor General have invited ASUBEB for questioning on the ugly developments in the award of contracts.

Soludo’s government shall be marking it’s 2 years in office on 17th of March, 2024 and shouldn’t be involved in this distraction.

Executive Chairman of Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board , ASUBEB, Associate Prof Vera Nkiru Nwadinobi and some officials of the ASUBEB have been invited to explain the anomalies by ICPC Wednesday morning.

Already, www.odogwublog.com gathered there was confusion at ASUBEB notice board as qualified bidders list pasted have been removed and replaced with political patronage lists of contractors who never bidded for the projects. This happened during the last administration and government officials were gusts severally at these anti-corruption agencies.

The N6.7 Billion UBEC contract is for 2019, 2020 and 2021. The second list for Political patronage was counterrsigned by the Political Adviser to the Governor, Dr Alex Obiogbolu. Dr Obiogbolu was the Director-General Val Ozigbo campaign organization for PDP before his resignation after election, only to be appointed Political Adviser to Prof Soludo. He is man Friday to Prof Soludo after Chief of Staff allegedly.

www.odogwublog.com reports that inorder to perfect their scheming, a new Procurement head , Mr Simon Attah has been brought to ASUBEB who is signing the contract award letters he never supervised and was never part of the Procurement process. He assumed office for this purpose.

Investigations by www.odogwublog.com revealed that contracts were given to people who did not participate in the Technical bid because the Executive Chairman has been threatened by officials of the state government with accusing fingers pointing at the SSG, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affiars and Chief of Staff.

Documents from the office of Executive Chairman of ASUBEB before www.odogwublog.com showed that 12 companies were awarded contracts they never bidded for and 50 other companies that failed bidding on projects they bidded for were awarded such projects to execute with Soludo’s appointees connivance.

Contractors were and still unhappy on the development but are still keeping sealed mouths ,praying the Governor to intervene particularly now some already awarded contracts are being revoked from the winners to be given to new contractors.

There were also several projects missing from the list believed that would be awarded to the cronies of the Executive Chairman of ASUBEB and her members.

Universal Basic Education Commission, UBEC office Abuja were startled at the expose of what was going on at ASUBEB Anambra.

Efforts also to speak with the ASUBEB Executive Chairman, Associate Prof Vera Nkiru Nwadinobi failed as she didn’t pick her calls. When reached, the Political Adviser to the Governor, Dr Alex Obiogbolu did not respond to his calls as usual.

  1. Interesting…. I wait in anticipation to see the final outcome of the investigation…..
They must be held accountable, if found guilty…
