Soludo Will Promote Youths’ Participation In Politics – Dr. Omenugha

The Convener, Youths Earnestly Support Soludo, formerly Youths Earnestly Seek Soludo, Dr Nelson Omenugha has stated that the Anambra Governor-elect, Prof Chukwuma Soludo will ensure the involvement of youths in policymaking in the state.

Dr Omenugha said youths contributed immensely to the emergence of Prof Soludo in the last Governorship election.

He stated this while addressing journalists at his country home, Nnobi, Idemili south local government area, Anambra State, during a victory party, cum Carol of Nine lessons, in honour of APGA’s victory.

He said, “Soludo has the capacity to transform the state and further strengthen the economy of the nation, gathered towards ensuring fiscal independence of the state.

“The economy of Nigeria was placed on high value during the time Soludo was the Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria. He strengthened Nigerian Bank that today, we can’t hear of any collapse of banks.” He said.

Omenugha further explained that the event was to appreciate God for his protection throughout the election period, the victory of APGA and Soludo, and most importantly to pray God for his wisdom upon the Governor-elect; to enable him to achieve the Anambra every ‘‘onye Anambra’’ will be proud of.

He also thanked members of the organization for their great sacrifices that played a vital role in achieving the Soludo project and noted that Anambra youths are now well equipped for governance to contribute their bit in building a more livable and prosperous Anambra.

On his part, the National Leader, Mass Movement for Good Governance, Comrade Peter Erobu commended YESS for their new ideology of joining forces with good-spirited Ndi Anambra to ensure that Soludo succeeds in governance.

Commissioner for Basic Education, Professor Kate Omenugha, the Director, Moon Hospital Nnobi, Dr Mike Omenugha, among others read the lessons, as ABS choral group, Austica Memorial Orchestras and YESS choir from Oyi Local Government Area thrilled the audience with special renditions.

Other dignitaries that graced the occasion were the Member representing Anambra East Constituency at the State House of Assembly, Honourable Obinna Emeneka, an APGA Chieftain, Chief Innocent Chiekezie, the Convener of Women Initiative for Greater Anambra, WIGA, Mrs. Amaka Obi, among others.
