Soludo tasks Obosi youths to emulate the Chidokas, shun violence

The la creme de la creme of the Federal republic of Nigeria including former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim, Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State, Labour Party Presidential flag bearer, Mr. Peter Obi, Senator Chris Ngige, Senator Victor Umeh, Senator Uche Ekwunife, former People’s Democratic Party Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metu, were among dignitaries who graced the funeral ceremony of Late Mrs. Victoria Nneka Chidoka at Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra State.

The deceased was the mother of the former Aviation Minister, and former Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Chief Osita Chidoka(Ike Obosi) and the House of Representatives member for Idemili North and South, Hon. Obinna Chidoka.

The dignitaries in their separate speeches eulogised the deceased, saying that her industrious and worthy lifestyle can be seen in the lives of her children, and their attainments in life.

Most Rev. Henry Ndukuba, Primate of Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion in his Homily lifted from Rev. 21: 1-8, said the bereaved family should take solace in the fact that their matriarch lived a good life and she gone to be with her maker.

Ndukuba, who was represented by Most Rev. Ali Lamido, Dean Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion who celebrated the funeral service at St. Andrew’s Church, Obosi, said that Ma Chidoka served God, humanity and died in the Lord“Any life that was not lived with service to God, church and humanity is a wasted life”.

According to Soludo, We celebrate her life today because, according to the testimonies we have heard, Mama Victoria lived a victorious and impactful life.

“We honour Chief Osita and all of the children Mama Victoria left behind. Obosi people and Ndi Anambra should be inspired by their conduct, principled life and attainment in life which are worthy of emulation,” Soludo stated.

Addressing the youths of Obosi, the governor recalled that he has not seen anyone who lived a life of violence and criminality until the age of 75, noting that crime has no place with longevity.

Also, Obosi Youth Leader, Mr Tochukwu Obienu described the Chidokas’ as a family known for philanthropy which have affected Obosi people positively eulogizing them for the health walk and medical scheme they floated in memory of their mum for the healthcare of Obosi residents.

Commiserating with the bereaved family, Sen. Chris Ngige, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar ably represented by High Chief Obiora Okonkwo,, The Cubana group,Obinna and Ikenna Iyiegbu, President Obosi Urban Landlords, Chief Emeka Asimone(Dikedioramma), Acting PG Obosi, Hon Leo Mgbemena, Former Chairman Idemili South PDP, Hon Ndu Ikokwu, several Federal and State legislators encouraged the family to take heart as they continue in the good virtues instilled in them by their parents.

Chief Osita Chidoka, Hon Obinna Chidoka and Mama’s only daughter Pastor Mrs Ada Egbon thanked everyone that came from far and near to be with them in their mourning period asking God to bless them with longevity.
