The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has ceased the registration of sachet alcohol since February 2024, aiming to reduce its accessibility, particularly among youths. At a Lagos press briefing, NAFDAC Director General, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, outlined the agency’s 2025 strategic plan, focusing on workforce expansion, maternal and child health, product safety, and regulatory efficiency. She emphasized the need to tackle substandard products, enhance supply chain traceability, and promote local manufacturing.
