“He was the man that cherished the Church Missionary Society (CMS) that has been bequeathed to us. He lived a life of a good sojourner and home builder. We thank God for the legacies that he has left behind. He invested in people and believed in the future and was a good team player and leader,” Ndukuba said.

According to him, the late Archbishop was not just a great Christian and servant of God, but a strong and patriotic Igboman who dedicated his last years towards the service of the Igbo people in Nigeria.

Earlier in his sermon, the Anglican Bishop of Ikwerre, Niger Delta Province, Blessing Enyindah, urged all affected by the demise of the archbishop not to be troubled but to be comforted in Christ.

He urged Christians to examine the life they live, noting that they cannot live their life anyhow and against the will of God especially in the present perilous times.
