Sports News: Sky Sports has just informed us that Chelsea are in a move in signing David Alaba.

According to Sky sports, Chelsea are reportedly lining up a stunning bid for Bayern Munich defender, David Alaba, as Chelsea’s manger, Frank Lampard keeps on looking for a new left back.

Some sources has reported that the deal may involve Chelsea’s teenage winger, Calum Hudson Odoi moving to Bayern Munich, in what may be a swap deal.

Frank Lampard has made known his intention of getting a new left back for his Chelsea side, and he has preferred Leicester City’s Ben Chiwell as his top target in that position, but Leicester City’s asking price may be the stumbling block for the club. Chelsea has identified many other defenders as alternative options, with Nicholas Taglifaco, Alex Telles and now recently, David Alaba, all coming into the picture.

David Alaba, the players contract with Bayern Munich will expire by 2021, and the defender has not agreed any contract extension with the club. If Chelsea should sign David Alaba, it would go a long way to help the team, as he is a very versatile player. The 28 year old defender can play as a left back or as a Central Defender. He can also play in the defensive midfield position. Bayern Munich values Alaba at around £50 million, and that is cheaper than the £80 millions Leicester is placing on Chiwell. David Alaba is no doubt, a world class defender, who has proved himself at the very top levels of football, and has also won many trophies for himself.
