Sen. Ekwunife hosts Anambra PDP Youth Leaders Ahead of 2021 Guber Race

Senator Uche Ekwunife (Iyom) today, Tuesday met with the Youth Leaders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) from the 21 LGAs and 326 wards of Anambra State to inform them of her intention to contest for the 2021 Governorship election under the platform of PDP.

Speaking to the Party Youth Leaders, the Senator noted that the time is ripe for PDP to reposition itself as the first choice political party for Ndi Anambra.

She further noted that amongst all the Aspirants in PDP, she is in a better position to pilot the party to victory due to her experience in the political field as well as understanding of the State’s political system. She described the 2021 Anambra Governorship election as an opportunity for the party to reoccupy its pride of place in the governance of Anambra State.

Ekwunife further reiterated that she is not running for Governor because she is a woman but because she believes that she has what it is takes to win the guber race and address the developmental needs of the State.

In their reactions, the Party Youth Leaders appreciated her for taking up courage to contest for the next Governorship election and assured her of their support.
