Rivers Assembly halts impeachment move against Fubara
The Rivers State House of Assembly has suspended impeachment proceedings against Governor Siminalayi Fubara and Deputy Governor Ngozi Odu.
The decision, taken during plenary in Port Harcourt on Thursday, follows President Bola Tinubu’s intervention after a meeting with Fubara, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and lawmakers, signalling a possible end to the state’s protracted political crisis.
