Reps bulge to Buhari, to revisit Electoral bill

The House of Representatives will reexamine the electoral modification bill that was dismissed by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Femi Gbajabiamila, the Speaker of the House, on Tuesday said the lawmakers will list the bill for reconsideration on Wednesday.

It would be recalled that in December, President Buhari rejected the bill due to the direct primaries clause in it.

Following the rejection, there have been calls for the lawmakers to override the president. In his speech, Gbajabimaila said the president will not sign the bill in the present form. He noted that the lawmakers have two options, either veto the president or reconsider the bill.
