Here are some of the talking points from the conversation between Daddy Freeze and the couple.

Marriage.

During the chat with Daddy Freeze, Prince Ned Nwoko opened up on how he fell in love with Regina Daniels. The politician, businessman and legal expert said he fell in love and married the young actress in the spate of three weeks. “I met her, fell in love and we got married within three weeks,” he said.

How they met

Prince Nwoko quickly pointed out that his meeting with Regina Daniels wasn’t orchestrated by her mum, Rita Daniels. He simply said, “Some people thought I met her through her mum but that isn’t the story.”

Age difference

One of the discussions that took the better part of the birthday dinner was the age difference between  Regina Daniels and Prince Ned Nwoko. Freeze couldn’t help but ask what the young wife feels about their age difference. She said, “I don’t think I would have married somebody of my age or a little bit older because I’m quite stubborn, very, very stubborn, my head is not down.” Regina’s friend, Toyin Lawani, who was also at the dinner, lends support to Regina, saying age difference between couples don’t matter as long as they are both happy. She further said she could testify to the obvious happiness and joy between Prince Ned and Regina.

Regina Daniels and her husband really do not care about their age difference because they are happy together.

Coping with a stubborn partner

When Regina revealed that she was a stubborn young lady, Freeze was quick to ask how her husband copes with this attribute of hers. And in response, ‘The Enemy I know’ actress said, “My husband is coping with my stubbornness because I respect him a lot.”

Swimming in love

One of the revelations at the birthday dinner was that Regina’s wealthy husband is a great swimmer. Freeze noted that he noticed Regina had wanted the pool left open just before the dinner started and Prince Ned was quick to tell him how he taught his ‘baby’ how to swim. He narrated how he taught Regina how to swim in just 20 minutes and how he had taught 700 people how to swim in the last four years. “I taught Regina how to swim. I love sports, I swim very well and I love to teach two or three people at a time. I have taught over 700 people how to swim over the past four years,” Nwoko said. Corroborating her husband, Regina said, “He taught me how to swim. He is a very good swimmer and I learnt in 20 minutess. He started by pushing me into the pool and while I was trying not to drown, he kept on saying swim girl, swim.” The couple also revealed that they both share common interests including a love for swimming.

The Baby tag

Regina revealed to Daddy Freeze that she calls her husband ‘Baby’ when he asked what pet names they call themselves. Freeze had jokingly asked if she calls him daddy but she responded saying, ‘I call him baby. He’s my baby.’ For the wealthy Prince behind UK law firm, Ned Nwoko Solicitors, he’s delighted to be referred to as Regina’s ‘Baby’. The solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales excitedly told Freeze that he’s the youngest baby in town. “I’m actually the youngest baby in town,” he said while brimming with smiles.

He also gave a sneak-peek into his private life.

“I don’t drink alcohol; I don’t eat meat or chicken. I am a Muslim; a lot of people don’t know this. I converted when I was schooling in England. I am not religious but I believe in values and ethos that is what should guide everyone’s conscience,” he revealed.

He served in the House of Representatives from 1999 to 2003.

Cooking in the house

Regina’s wealthy husband would not hear of her cooking or preparing any meal though she revealed in one of her YouTube videos that she loves cooking. Regina revealed that Prince Nwoko does not allow her to cook and anytime he sees her in the kitchen, he calls her out. “He doesn’t allow me to cook and anytime I try to cook, he chases me out of the kitchen, saying that why he got cooks for me was because he has more important things to talk to me about or do with me,” Regina says. Further lending support to her friend, Toyin Lawani said Prince Nwoko would not allow his wife or her friends to get into the kitchen to cook.

On Sunday, May 26, 2019, Prince Ned Nwoko and Regina Daniels had their traditional wedding in Aniocha Local Government Area, Delta State. The ceremony had several entertainers, including Chinedu Ikedieze, Charles Inojie, Ejike Asiegbu, Sydney Sparrow, Vichiano, MC Bob, Shortcut, MC Papi, Movrine studios and Kenule Nwiya in attendance.

On Aniocha women’s cult

Regina Daniels also opens up on her ‘initiation’ into Aniocha women’s cult.  With 40 years difference in age, Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, has been repeatedly vilified by all and sundry over her marriage to billionaire businessman and lawyer, Prince Ned Nwoko. And people’s shock over the marriage turned to bewilderment when the then-teenager, now 20 years, was initiated into the billionaire’s traditional cult for women, the Aniocha’s women’s cult which is presumed to keep a woman away from ever marrying another man or engaging in any extramarital or face some dire consequences.

Here’s is the excerpt of her response to questions sent to her in Dubai through her media manager, Ifetayo Adeniyi by Potpourri, shedding light on the initiation and other intimate things about her husband and life.

Your (Regina Daniel) initiation into Aniocha women’s cult, what does it entail?

First of all, I will not call it an initiation; it is more like being welcome to womanhood and for you to be part of that group- it’s an elite group; you must be married and be a woman of substance. I will say I’m even privileged to be part of that group.

As a billionaire’s wife, do you still play with your age mates?

Well, I have never actually liked hanging out with my age mates. I go for people that are far older than me so I could learn something from them or people who are bellow so I could teach them something and being married to my husband hasn’t stopped me from relating with those people.

What do you love most about your husband (Ned Nwoko)?

His honesty.  He’s the most honest person I have ever met. In short, I love his honesty.

What’s the next level for you (Regina Daniel) as an actress?

Business, producing, directing and of course, Hollywood.

What are the things marriage has robbed you of?

I can’t think of anything because when I was single, my life was always about acting, schooling and I didn’t have time for a party but now that I’m married, I could go out for parties. I can even say I’m more privileged to have more opportunities now to do things than when I was single.

Can you (Regina Daniels) leave acting at the behest of your husband?

The question is, will he ask me to leave acting? First of all, I never thought about that but the man I married will never ask me to leave what I love.

When asked if she was not bothered about the public uproar that trailed her marriage, Regina said, “The only thing I was worried about when he proposed was how I was going to tell my family and not what the public will say or think. I have learned a lot from him. I call him ‘baby’. I used to cook but my husband has stopped me from entering the kitchen because we have cooks and domestic staff.”

For many years, Regina was recognized as one of Nigeria’s finest child stars who won many hearts after she starred in ‘Marriage of Sorrow’, at age seven.

She shot into limelight when she featured in a Nollywood movie titled ‘Miracle Child’ in 2010.

She starred alongside popular actors like Ini Edo, Chika Ike and Mercy Johnson in the movie.

Her mum, Rita Daniels, also an actress and chairperson of Actors Guild of Nigeria, Delta State Chapter, (AGN), nurtured her to fame.

Regina was famous in the Asaba Nollywood caucus but began to command attention especially on social media, after former Vice President Atiku Abubakar appointed her his youth campaign coordinator for Nollywood in January.
