The Portuguese forward reacted to Maradona’s death with a message on social media.
The Napoli legend suffered a cardiac arrest and died today aged 60.
“Today I say goodbye to a friend and the world says goodbye to an eternal genius,” Ronaldo wrote on Twitter.
“One of the best of all time. An unrivalled magician. You leave too soon, but you leave a boundless legacy and a void that will never be filled. Rest in peace, ace. You will never be forgotten.”
