Prophet Godfrey Gbujie, the Ministerial Leader of World Zionist Union in Enugu State, has called for urgent prayer and fasting by the people to end the violence in the South East.
Gbujie said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Awka.

He blamed the reoccurring violence and killings in the zone on the worship of foreign gods by the people.
“Ndigbo are Jewish people, their religion is Judo-Christianity, but regrettably, some past leaders brought ‘Ahiajoku and Ikenga’, and these are foreign gods.
“In the Bible, Ikenga means Baal, and the images are seen in most strategic locations in Igbo land, especially Owerri.
“It was the celebration of these foreign gods that angered God which resulted in the crisis and dwindling socio-economic and political fortune in Ndigbo land,” he said.

Gbujie said that the South East had a better profile in the past, saying that the worship of strange gods was responsible for the dwindling fortunes of the region.
“The only solution to our problem now is prayer and fasting and I called on our governors to set aside one or two days for fasting and mourning.
“As a spiritual mediator of Ndigbo, I have written the President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu to inform him of this development and my readiness to further intercede for our people,” he said.
He said although he was not a member of any of the Pro-Biafra groups, he could bring the people together toward finding solutions to the violence and bloodbath in the area.
Gbujie who spoke on the efforts he made to avert the danger of Pro-Biafra agitation when it was at starting stages, offered to contact various leaders of the groups to ensure peace.
“Every problem first occurs in the spiritual realm, if Ndigbo should turn to God, He will remove the demons executing judgments in Igbo land.
“Igbo people are now like a lock without a shepherd and the worships been infiltration of external forces to apply harsh policies to deal with our people,” he said.
Gbujie advised every individual in the southeast to support the peaceful move to restore peace in the land, saying that was the only saving grace. (NAN)
