Primus Odili’s US House Purchase: APGA Owe Ndi Anambra Explanation – PDP.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has called on All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA-controlled government of Gov Willie Obiano to explain to Ndi Anambra the raging controversy surrounding the purchase of a choice property in the United States of America by Obiano’s Chief of Staff, Primus Odili. This call was made by the state PDP publicity secretary, Nnamdi Nwangwu while speaking to newsmen in Awka recently.

The property, situate at 1804 Terrabrooke Private Court, Brentwood, Tennessee is archived in Google as having been purchased on April 22, 2020 at the cost of $1, 818, 718 under the name of Mrs Maureen C. Odili and Primus Odili.

The palatial home seats on 1.1 acres of land with six bathrooms, six bedrooms and an area of 5,575 square feet.

Quoting 247ureports.com that gave the first comprehensive report of the deal, ”prior to becoming a staff of the Obiano administration, Primus Odili worked as an administrative assistant for a private clinic in Nashville(US) – where he was discharged shortly before his return to serve the Obiano administration – initially at the capacity of Special Assistant on Special Duties. After the successful reelection of Governor Obiano, he was appointed the Chief of Staff. He is considered Man-Friday to the Governor. He is the closest man to the Governor.”

Mr. Nwangwu went ahead to lament that at the time of purchase, the property was valued at N763, 862, 560 at the exchange rate of N420 to the dollar.

”It is totally disheartening that while Anambra State individuals and businesses are being taxed to death by this insensitive government, one of her servants at Agu Awka will be smiling in purchases of choice properties abroad.

”While the state was quaking and messed in the uncertainties of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, one of Obiano’s closest aides was busy feathering his extravagant nest in faraway United States of America,” the PDP image maker continued to bemoan.

”One wonders what aides earn a month in present APGA’s Agu Awka for one of them to devout that much to only his private residence. Even if Mr. Odili has any genuine claim of legitimacy to acquiring such enormous funds within the six years he had served in the state government, what happened to the ‘Aku Luo Uno’ crusade being laundered by same government he serves as the governor’s closest aide?

”It simply means that while this APGA government pays lip service to development of the state, those in charge drain the state coffers by individually shifting scarce resources to foreign countries.

”As a responsible opposition party, the PDP is calling on Gov Obiano to explain to the state just how much his Chief of Staff earns and why he doesn’t seem to understand the Aku Luo Uno mentality.” Mr. Nwangu concluded.
