Police Service Commission Begins Physical Screening for 50,000 Constables

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has announced the commencement of physical and credential screening for the recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables into the Nigeria Police Force. The screening exercise will take place from March 9 to April 18, 2026, across the federation.
According to a press release signed by the Commission’s Spokesman, Torty Njoku Kalu, eligible candidates are required to log in to the recruitment portal: (link unavailable), to check their status and print necessary documents, including the Guarantors form, Application Submission Slip, Invitation Slip, Credentials Screening Form, and Physical Screening Form.
The Commission has listed the required documents and items to be presented during the screening, including original National Identity Number (NIN) printout or Card, O’ Level (GCE/SSCE) Certificate, Birth Certificate or Declaration of age, and LGA/State of Origin Certificate, among others.
The Chairman of the Police Service Commission, DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu (rtd), mni, has assured that the recruitment process will be conducted with transparency and accountability. He also warned applicants to be wary of online scammers and impostors, stating that anyone found wanting will be arrested and prosecuted.
The screening exercise will take place at designated locations within each State/FCT, as indicated on the invitation printout. Applicants are advised to appear at the screening venues wearing white canvas shoes, white T-shirts, white shorts, and white stockings.
