Police Nab Three Robbery Syndicate In Anambra, Recover Offensive Weapons

Police operatives in Anambra have arrested three armed robbery syndicate in Amorji village, Agulu in Anaocha local government area, Anambra state.

The police also confirmed the recovery of offensive weapons and other incriminating items which the criminals have used to torment people of the area.

Confirming this report, the state police public relation officer, SP Haruna Mohammed said “On the 11/10/2020 at about 12:28am,there was a distress call from one Okafor Fidelis ‘m’ of Amorji village Agulu in Anaocha LGA of Anambra State that suspected robbers armed with dangerous weapons broke into his residence and stole the sum of Twenty thousand naira(#20,000)

“Following the distress call, Police operatives attached to Neni division in conjunction with local vigilante group quickly responded and rushed to the scene.As a result,three suspects were arrested as follows,

(i). Chibuike Allwell ‘m’ aged 20years,
(ii). Chiemena Uwuoba ‘m’ aged 16years both natives of Abia State and,
(iii). Ileabuchi Chukwudi ‘m’ aged 20years of Umuifite village,Agulu.

Meanwhile, exhibits recovered in their possesions includes sum of #20’000,One Axe,one cutlass,one knife,one spanner,two torch lights,charms and other incriminating items.

Haruna said the case is still under investigation after which the suspects would be charge to court for prosecution.
