Peace and Peter Chine shook Umunze on October 1

Umunze community, Orumba South local government area of Anambra State stood still for the twins of Reverend Canon Decency and Ada Decency Chine as friends and well-wishers joined them in thanksgiving for successful delivery at St Peter’s Anglican Church, Umunze.
It was indeed a jubilation galore for the arrival of the twins (Peace Henrietta Darberechukwu Chine and Peter Henry Dikeobi Chine) in Umunze as hundreds of people from all walks of life including FCMB family, St Luke’s Ekwulobia , Recharge Alert International among others gathered to celebrate with the couple for the fruit of the womb.
Peace and Peter came after 9 years of waiting on to the lord for the fruit of the womb and the couple were highly delighted by their arrival.
In his sermon, the Anglican Bishop of Aguata diocese, Right Reverend Dr Samuel Ezeofor, JP described children as blessings to couples from God and nothing more.
Bishop Ezeofor however decried the unnecessary emphasis on male children in Igbo land. He as well expressed dismay on disenfranchising of female girls from the parental inheritance but referred to the 2004 court judgment on a case of disenfranchising female children upheld recently by the Supreme Court endorsing finally that girl children should be partakers in inheriting their parent’s assets.
He condemned the crisis and problems emanating in some Christian families seeking to have a male child and enjoined Christians to be more realistic in everything .
Bishop Ezeofor appealed to Rev Canon Decency and Ada Decency Chine to raise the child in complete fear of God , even as he prayed for better life prospects for the new born twins.
He reminded that if God does not build, in vain the labourers labour, noting that if God does not save Nigeria, that the political parties put together cannot. He informed that the situation in Ghana, that warranted Nigerian citizens to be popular for prostitution. He encouraged Christians to embrace the option of accepting Christ Jesus as the only reasonable solution. He as well condemned wasting of lives in the name of politics in the country.
In his remarks earlier , Reverend Canon, Decency Chine appreciated the Lord Bishop , Right Revered Ezeofo and wife , Chinyere for their selfless service to humanity and assured that the children would be brought up in the fear of God . He said the children ‘’.
He pointed out that he started his ministry with St Peter’s Akpo and he was thanking God in St Peter’s Umunze, and his son is named Peter.
A priest , Reverend Tochukwu Akaegbobi and Evangelist Onyibo Samuel Okoye were full of praises to God for granting twins Peace and Peter to Rev Canon Edozie Decency Chine and wife , Ada Decency, even as Retired Bishop of Missionary diocese of Niger West, Right Reverend Prof Anthony Nkwoka prayed for the twins and parents at the celebration of God’s faithfulness thanksgiving on October 1, 2018 as attended by numerous family members, friends and well-wishers including Venerable Dr Chukwuemeka Ezike.
