Pastor Schugger lauds president Tinubu for withdrawing police from VIPS

The senior pastor of Grace Revolution International Ministry,Lagos pastor Schugger Ezenwa Onyeukwu (PhD) has lauded the president,Bola Ahmed Tinubu for ordering the withdrawal of police officers attached to VIPS accross the country.
Speaking to newsmen today in Lagos,pastor Schugger enunciated that the move is imperative in order to meet the security challenges confronting the Nigerian nation,insisting that internal security is the sole responsibility of the police “our internal security is in jeopardy,that simply means that the police is failing in their primary responsibility,we can’t have police officers guiding VIPS when the nation is in need of personnel to help tackle security issues,VIP attachment is for self- aggrandizement,show of power,influence and class,officers attached to them truly need to be withrawn let’s see if they can help ameliorate the security tension in the country if they are given national assignments”
He insisted that rural areas where these attacks are constant and persistent lack effective policing “have you ever travelled to our rural areas in this country,there’s little or no police presence,even the ones that has police stations don’t have enough personnel,how can they combat or tackle crime?the police is really short of manpower so it’s important to have more officers deployed to the rural areas where these attacks are frequent,consistent and perpetual,the president gave a good directive,it’s for the interest of the entire nation,urban areas are not the target but the rural areas”.
