Our Ancestors Happy With Sen. Kalu’s Achievements — Ikpeazu’s Former Aide Iroha, Defects To APC

Mr. Kalu Prince-Iroha former Special Assistant to Abia State governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has expressed satisfaction with the level of infrastructure in his Abia North district, saying their ancestors are happy with it.

In a chat with Odogwublog on Saturday, he attributed it to the efforts of Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu, senator representing the district in the Senate. The Former Director, Abia State Grassroots Sports Development Initiatives (ABGRASOD), an Abia State Ministry of Sports PPP Sports Development Initiatives stated that his Abia community in Ohafia LGA made efforts to raise N5 million to make their road passable, a project he said was difficult.

Abia Ohafia Road Before According to him, their burden was lifted when Sen. Kalu, Chief Whip of the Nigerian Senate intervened and graded the road for them. He said the area is wearing a new look, expressing gratitude to the former Abia governor.

He also used the opportunity to announce his defection to the APC. In another development, Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has stated that his administration is determined to continue to empower youths of the State by engaging them in the growth and development plans for Abia.

The Governor stated this on his official Twitter handle on Friday. According to him, the fresh graduates will be engaged to fix the challenges of road maintenance in all the 17 LGAs of the state, getting empowered in the process by equipping them “with the necessary tools including asphalt cutters, rollers, duty trucks, and power packs to support night operations”.

Ikpeazu also stated that the fresh graduates whom he praised for their “ingenuity and commitment” will be trained by engineers at the State Ministry of works. He, therefore, called on qualified Abians to apply for the openings till the 30th of November.
