The family of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Oragui has built and handed over to Saint James the Apostle Anglican Church, Oba, Idemili South local government area, a children’s church in memory of their mother, the late Mrs. Theresa Oragui.

According to Mr. Alex Oragui, the love of their late mother for children as a care giver, which she demonstrated as a nurse and her commitment to the Red Cross during the civil war, inspired him into building the structure for the children of the parish.
Oragui charged Christians not to allow worldly and challenges of life make them to deviate from doing the work of God, urging them to give as led by the spirit.
He further thanked God for giving them the grace and courage to build the children’s church building in memory of their mother, noting that it is a privilege to give for the service of God and humanity.
The Archdeacon of Oba Archdeaconry, Venerable Dave Udezika represented by Reverend Christian Osagie and the wife of the donor, Mrs. Ijeoma Oragui, said that it is a blessing for the family to put up the structure for the church.
They urged Christians to give to the glory of God and not necessarily out of the abundance of what they have.
The Children’s church edifice was formally commissioned by the retired Bishop of Isiukwuato-Umunneochi Diocese, Right Reverend Sam Chukuka.
The old church used an uncompleted building’s with only roof covering, but now replaced with a permanent structure.
Parishioners who were all beaming with joy turned out en-masse during a special church service to mark the dedication of the new children’s church edifice.
