ONE SHOT, FEW INJURED, PHONES, LAPTOPS STOLEN AS ARMED ROBBERS ATTACK OSBORN LODGE IFITE-AWKA

Armed robbers reportedly attacked Osborn lodge located at the Laurel street down school of Unizik on the 26th of November 2022.

The robbers shot the security man twice before gaining access to the compound where they stole electronic gadgets and phones, even as they wounded many.

   A victim of the robbery attack who chose to be anonymous said in an interview that her room was the first room at the entrance of the lodge that was robbed. 

She said that it was by 8pm on the night of Saturday, 26th of November 2022.
She revealed that the robbers drove into the lodge with a car and 3 motorcycles and shot the security twice on the legs before entering room by room to rob.

The robbery lasted for about 1 hour and there was no police interference throughout the robbery period. It was reported that many phones and laptops were stolen, and some students who owned televisions lost their televisions to robbers.

The police arrived after the robbers are far gone from the lodge, the police reported that no life was lost and every medical attention have been delivered to few people injured and the security that was shot.

The Awka police division said they will in all their effort ensure that the armed robbers were caught and prosecuted according to the law.
