One Dead as Traders Clash in Abuja Market; Suspect Arrested

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested Onu Simeon following a fatal altercation at Utako Market, Abuja, which led to the death of Ifeanyi Chukwu. According to FCT Police spokesperson SP Josephine Adeh, officers responded to a distress call and found Chukwu unconscious at the scene. He was rushed to NNPC Hospital, Utako, where doctors confirmed him dead. Preliminary investigations revealed that the two traders had clashed over a space to display their goods, escalating into a physical confrontation before Chukwu suddenly collapsed. His remains have been deposited at a general hospital for further examination, while Onu Simeon remains in custody as investigations continue. The police assured that further updates would be provided.
