Okpeze Community Rallies Behind Grassroots Development, Endorses Ezeaka’s Community Reforms
The Okpeze Community has declared its support for ongoing efforts to strengthen grassroots governance and community development in Anambra State, expressing confidence in the leadership of the Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs, Chief Vin Ezeaka.
The position was contained in a press statement issued in Awka on July 2 by the Traditional Prime Minister of Okpeze, Chief Donatus Nwafor, following a resolution of the traditional ruler, Igwe Innocent Onwumere, the Igwe in Council, and members of the community.
The community reaffirmed its commitment to working with the Anambra State Government to promote peace, unity, and sustainable development, while ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach communities across the state.
Chief Nwafor acknowledged Chief Ezeaka’s leadership in managing town union affairs, noting that his approach has helped restore stability in several communities and strengthened grassroots administration.
He urged the commissioner to remain committed to his responsibilities and continue implementing initiatives that promote harmony, effective community leadership, and inclusive development across Anambra State.
Chief Nwafor also commended Governor **** for appointing Chief Ezeaka, describing the appointment as a significant step toward strengthening local government administration and community affairs.
The community reaffirmed its readiness to partner with the state government in advancing programmes and policies that encourage peace, good governance, and sustainable grassroots development throughout Anambra State.
