Aspirants jostling for Okigwe Senatorial bye election (Imo North) primary under the political platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) will have to part with N5 million Naira, being cost for Nomination and Expression of interest forms.

This is contained in the party’s public notice on the provisional time table/schedule of activities for senatorial and state House of Assembly elections 2020, signed by the party’s National Organizing Secretary, Ifeanyi Mbaeri and made available to news men in Owerri on Sunday.

According to the statement, sale and return of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for the senatorial bye election, will be within August 18- 31, 2020, at the APGA National Secretariat, Abuja.

The party said this is also applicable to aspirants taking part in bye elections into “Bayelsa West and Bayelsa Central Senatorial Districts, Bayo and Nganzai State Constituencies of Borno State, Cross River North Senatorial District, Obudu State Constituency of Cross River State, Ibaji State Constituency of Kogi State, Imo North Senatorial District, Lagos East Senatorial District, Kosofe II State Constituency of Lagos State, Plateau South Senatorial District and Bakura State Constituency of Zamfara State”.

The party further stated that “Screening of prospective Senatorial and House of Assembly Aspirants APGA State Secretariats , September 2, 2020

“Senatorial and House of Assembly Primary Elections Within each Senatorial District and State House of Assembly Constituency concerned will be September 6, 2020.

“Resolution of Appeals/Disputes arising from the Primary Election by the National Working Committee(NWC) APGA National Secretariat Abuja will be on September 7, 2020 as INEC has scheduled October 31st, 2020 to be the election for the Imo North Senatorial Bye Election.
