APC National Chairmanship : North central deserves more even presidency- Wadada

Honourable Aliyu Ahmed Wadada, the Chairman Peugeot Automobile of Nigeria (PAN) and a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, has said the North Central geopolitical region remains the only region in the country that has not produced neither a president or vice president,since the return of democracy in 1999.

While making this statement, he added that the region deserved more than just the national Chairmanship of the APC ,but that for being a peaceful region, it has narrowed it demand for now for the top position at the party level.

Honourable Ahmed Wadada who represented Keffi,karu and Kokona between 2003 to 2011 in the federal house of representatives,stated this on Thursday in his country homeKeffi,after revalidating his membership of the APC.

According to him,” The essence of the membership registration and revalidation exercise hinges on no other reason but knowing the numbers of children or wives you have as father in order to help in providing the necessary materials for the family,which is an act of responsibility on the part of the party,whose leadership deem it fit to embark on to ascertain it numerical strenght

” Let me assure you that the APC being the ruling party,is not an irresponsible political party and untill these exercise is done ,our boast of being the largest party would not be authentic,that is why embarking on the revalidation of membership of the party is key to the advancement of its followers.

On whether the revalidation exercise has direct impact to the Nigerian populise in respect of providing good governance,,he said except the principals of individualsdominating or being stronger than the institutions is laid to rest,there can never be good governance.

“Untill and unless we stop producing mediocre in politics and in government ,good governance can not be gotten,why will an individual make himself stronger than the institution that brought him and you expect good governance? This why in my political drive,I have always laid emphasis on educating the electorates” He posited.

Honourable Wadada further urged supporters if the APC to live responsibility by ensuring that they get registered.,pointing out that only valid members can benefit from the party in near future.

In a separate interview,senator Abdullahi Adamu,the first elected executive governor of Nasarawa state,sued for peace among party supporters.

According to him,it will be unreasonable to have people who are clamouring for good leadership yet instigating rancour that is capable of stimulating hatered among politicains.

” This is why the importance of membership registration and revalidation comes in,because it helps to know who is truly a member of the party, as it also help to knowing who to assign for what assignment for the party and even in terms of appointment” He said.
