Oil Saga: Shehu Sani Shakes The Table On NNPC Pipeline Oil Discovery.

By Rowlandgate.

For years, oil bunkering otherwise known as pipeline vandalism has become a normality, and this, in no doubt, has been the bane of Nigeria’s oil economy. Figures have shown Nigeria at a loss of 300,000 barrels of oil daily due to the vandalization of pipelines, running into several billions of dollars.

Shehu Sani said that in Some States Once NNPC Pipeline Burst They Would Rush To The Media and Claimed They Discovered Oil.

Unemployment, regional agitations, poor management are just few of factors which have contributed immensely to pipeline vandalism. This has led to the destructions of our natural ecosystems, and economic loss as a result of huge loss of oil revenue while provision of infrastructure, employment opportunities and proper management of environment are convincing ways to go if Nigeria is to solve the perennial problem of pipeline vandalism.

Only few Nigerians seem to understand his well-crafted sarcastic statement. It simply means some unscrupulous elements in some localities/states in Nigeria would deliberately puncture oil pipelines, they would illegally fetch kegs of oil from the bursted pipeline and when it results in fire outbreak, they would wash off the hands claiming it bursted on its own.
