Ogun Govt Cancels Awujale Selection Over Procedural Errors
The Ogun State Government has annulled the ongoing selection process for the vacant Awujale stool following procedural lapses. Officials said the process, which had attracted over 60 princes, will restart to ensure compliance with the 2021 Obas and Chiefs Law and the 1957 chieftaincy declaration, aiming to prevent litigation and safeguard the legitimacy of the installation.
