Nwora Inspects Abani Eze Onicha Sculpture, Vows to Complete Project Before Tenure Ends

The Mayor of Onitsha North Local Government Area, Hon. Nweze Tony Nwora, has inspected the ongoing construction of the Abani Eze Onicha sculpture at the entrance of Onitsha from the Awka axis, assuring residents that the project would be completed before the end of his tenure.
Nwora conducted the inspection on Sept. 27, to assess the progress of work and identify the remaining tasks required for the completion of the landmark project.
The Abani Eze Onicha sculpture is among the projects initiated by the Onitsha North Local Government Administration under Nwora’s leadership. With less than two weeks left in office, the mayor said his administration remained committed to completing projects it had embarked upon and ensuring that they were delivered for the benefit of residents.
Nwora described the Abani Eze Onicha sculpture as more than just a physical structure, noting that it would serve as a significant landmark at one of the major gateways into Onitsha. According to him, the project also reflects the history, heritage and cultural identity of the city and would add to the aesthetic appeal of the area.
The mayor reiterated that his administration would continue to discharge its responsibilities and follow through on ongoing projects until the final day of his tenure. “My responsibility until the final day is to ensure that the work entrusted to this administration is followed through,” Nwora said.
