NUP Re-elects Ugozor As State Chairman, Endorse Soludo.

The Nigeria Union of pensioners (NUP), Anambra state council has re-elected Dr Anthony Ugozor as the new state chairman for a second term.

The election took place in Awka during the 8th Quadrennial delegates conference.

The theme of the conference is “Life of Pensioners in Anambra state and Local Governments With Our Harmonization of Pension Since the Year 2000”

According to the result announced by the electoral committee chairman, Dr Anthony Ugozor secured 65 yes votes to return elected.

Other elected officers of the association include: the Vice Chairman Azubike Ojinnaka, Treasurer, Onyeli Dennis, Trustee 1 Monica Duru,Trustee 2, Ifeanyi Yogi, Auditor, Ofodu Clement and Simon Amaka as Public Relations Officer.

Ugozor, in his acceptance speech thanked the electoral committee for the transparent and seamless process and delegates for considering him worthy to continue to pilot the affairs of the union for the next four years.

He promised to continue to work for the betterment of the union
He equally used the opportunity to
sincerely remain grateful to the leadership of NUJ lead by Odogwu Emeka Odogwu PhD for his ability to caught his wisdom teeth among the rank and file of contemporary modern journalists in Africa.

The head of service in Anambra state Lady Theodora Okwy Igwegbe who was represented by Lady Nkechi Patricia Nwosu assured that the harmonization will be smoot henceforth .
