NUJ Holds Night Of Tributes For Two Deceased Members

The need for journalists to prioritize their health in 2021 has been stressed.

The chairman FCT council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Comrade Emmanuel Ogbeche, stated this at a night of tributes organised in honour of two members of the council, Ben-Bright Mkpuma and Boyede Momoh that died late last year.

Ekwi Ajide of our Abuja Bureau, reports that the event was a moment for sober reflection for family members and colleagues of the deceased.

According to the NUJ chairman, the Council had embarked on numerous health programme for members owing to its recognition of the importance of sound health for them.

He cautioned members to be mindful of what they eat at all times while advocating physical exercises.

Comrade Ogbeche, reminded members of the need to observe COVID-19 safety protocols as according to him, prevention is the best option.

Various speakers at the event while stressing the need for living a Godly life outlined the glowing attributes of the deceased persons and implored members to emulate the good ones.
