NUJ Decries Insecurity, Poor Roads, Media Censorship
The Nigeria Union of Journalists has urged urgent government action on rising insecurity, dilapidated roads, and media censorship.
In a communique after its NEC meeting in Kano, NUJ condemned hostility from some governors’ aides, called for full implementation of the ₦70,000 minimum wage in media houses, and commended the Kano, Gombe, and Akwa Ibom governors for supporting press freedom and journalists’ welfare.
It also urged proactive flood prevention measures and reaffirmed its commitment to press freedom and national development.
