Ntoko Day celebration excites Ndi Anambra

Ntoko Community in Awka South Local Government Area celebrated her 2018 Ntoko Day amidst cheers and jubilation.

Ntoko Day event which took place at Okpuno village square attracted seven villages that make up the Ntoko community including Okpuno, Okpalauzo, Nwagugala, Egbuagu, Mpitimma, Agunezulu, Obodo Adaka.

There were dances and masquerades display with the traditional ruler of Ezi na-ato in Awka South Council area, Igwe Chinemeze Nwaka explained that the celebration breads unity, love, liberation, progress and joy among the people

Explaining the significance of the ceremony, Prophet Uche Okafor said that Ntoko Day celebrated every Twenty-eighth December is aimed at thanking God for successful cultivation and fruitful harvest of the year as well celebrate the victory God gave them at the Court of Appeal Enugu which gave verdict in their favour over land dispute they had with their neighbouring communities that lasted for seventeen years.

In their reactions , the Onowu of Ezina-ato, Chief Chima Nwankwo and Ntoko Chairman Mr. Christian Ogbonia who described Ntoko as a place flowing with milk and honey said that God has blessed them with fertile land as they usually have bountiful harvest.
