Npower: Reason Why FG Won’t Send Beneficiaries Back To The Streets.

Npower Programme is a social investment Programme that consist of 500,000 volunteers for both batch A and batch B. This programme started in year 2016 and it has really changed the life of many Nigerian youths.

The programme is a 2 years programming as it was said by Federal Government but I will address some point why federal government will not want to send Npower beneficiaries back to Street.

N-Power is a Federal Government programme to improve the economic of the country and provide employment and social development for Nigerian youths. N-Power addresses the challenge of youth unemployment by providing work for them, both the graduate and Non-graduate youths.

N-Power ensured that each Volunteers were trained before starting the work. The N-Power Volunteers are 500,000 trained graduates who are assisting public services in education, health and civic education. Is it possible to train someone for a work and send him away after you have trained him? I don’t think it is possible.

The reason for president Muhammadu buhari to establish Npower beneficiaries was to remove Millions of Nigerian from poverty and provide a good source of income for them. Now, if all the 500,000 Npower beneficiaries are send back to Street, does that remove them from poverty ?

Batch A have used more than 2 years in the programme, which means federal government are scare to send them back to Street to Start all over again.

The Agriculture Development for Rural area are still planning to make use of Npower beneficiaries to take survey of all the farmers in Nigeria and distribute fertilizers for them. Definitely, Npower are still useful in the system of federal government.
