Non Indigenes in Anambra Celebrate Gov. Soludo's Victory, Lays Foundation Stone For Secretariat

As part of activities marking the end of year ceremony of the Association of Non- Indigenes Welfare in Anambra state (ANIAS/ANISA ) the group ,over the weekend , celebrated the re-election victory of the Anambra state Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, describing him as a detribalised Nigerian and a man whose track records speak volume.

The group appreciated the Governor for his friendly disposition to the Non- Indigenes in the state, especially his decision to allocate piece of land to the non Indigenes in Anambra and appointment of some non- Indigenes in his cabinet.

ANIAS also used the opportunity to induct some new members of the cabinet into their fold, calling on them to remain law abiding citizens.

The end of year ceremony also featured foundation laying stone of their new secretariat and also honouring some outstanding and most supportive
members of the association.

The event which took place at D.O field Amawbia in Awka South Local Government Area, provided an opportunity for the association to appreciate members, friends and well wishers for their continuous support and contributions towards the unity, welfare and progress of the non- indigenes residing in Anambra state.

In his speech, the chairman of the occasion, High Chief Arc Meshack Ikechukwu Odide who doubles as the Chief Executive Officer, MIO Group of companies, thanked God for making the event a reality.

Chief Ikechukwu who is the interim chairman and a cabinet member of the association was represented by Vicor Meju said the gathering demonstrates oneness as members of one family, which he said is the first of its kind.

The President of the association,
Chief Amb. Great Ugwuoke, urged the members to show dedication, unity, and active participation to the association so as to build an organization that future will be proud of.

According to him, “We must remember that this association belongs to all of us, and its success is for the betterment of our people, our families, our businesses, and our collective future.

“As we look forward, let us renew our determination to support one another, uplift the weak, appreciate the strong, and chart a progressive path for the entire non-indigenes community.

“With God on our side, unity in our hearts, and commitment in our actions, there is no challenge too
difficult and no dream too big for us to achieve.

“Again, we ensure that every member, regardless of origin, feels valued, protected, and supported.

According to the woman leader of the association, Ms Jane Ngozi Nze urged members to drive for greatness having emerged stronger despite challenges.

Some of the inductees, Agadamigido of non-indegene, Steven Aligbe and Eju Ojubo Igah of Anambra, Abah Cletus Festus and Ezesinachi of Nsukka, Friday Ugwu in their reactions expressed happiness over the foundation laying stone of a new secretariat, thanking Gov. Charles Chukwuma Soludo for allocating land for them to build a new Secretariat.

Dignitaries that graced the occasion includes, the commissioner for information, Dr Law Mefor, Political Adviser to Gov Charles Soludo, Barth Onugbolu, Awka South Mayor, Chindu Okafor, Nnamso Nwafor Orizu, Prof.Collins Nwogwugwu, among others.
