NOA Tasks Nigerian Students On Hard Work, Integrity And Patriotism

The Director General, National Orientation Agency(NOA),Abuja,Dr.Garba Abari,has presented certificates of participation and cash rewards to Comprehensive Secondary School Nawfia,Ide Secondary School Enugu – Ukwu and Army Day Secondary School Onitsha for participating in the just concluded Integrity Club Competition organized by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission(ICPC) in collaboration with the National Orientation Agency(NOA) for Integrity Clubs established in various Secondary Schools across the State by the two Sister Organizations in the State.

While making the presentations to the winning Schools at different fora, NOA Director General Dr Abari,represented in the event by the Anambra State Director of the Agency, Barrister Charles Nwoji, announced that Comprehensive Secondary School,Nawfia ranked first position while Ide Secondary School,Enugu-Ukwu and Army Day School Onitsha went home with second and third positions respectively.

He stated that the competition was held on 29th September, 2022 with seventy Integrity Clubs in attendance,saying that essence of the Competition was to instill the spirit of discipline and patriotism in the School children.

At Comprehensive Secondary School Nawfia, Ide Secondary School, Enugu- Ukwu and Army Day Secondary school, Onitsha,the NOA Director General, Dr.Abari, described the Schools as some of the vibrant Schools in the South Eastern region,saying that he expected the outcome of the Competition with the three Schools emerging the overall winners.

The NOA overall boss,who thanked the students for making their Schools and Anambra State proud at the Competition,challenged the them to embrace integrity,honesty,hard work and truthfulness,stressing that the Integrity Club was established with a view to catching the Students young.

He equally charged the young Students to always respect their teachers,parents and the constituted authorities and as well guide against all forms of temptations that would mar their brighter future.

In their separate speeches while receiving the Certificates and the cash rewards from the Director General, the Principal, Comprehensive Secondary School, Nawfia, Reverend Augustine Otiji,his counterparts at Ide and Army Day Secondary schools respectively, Mrs.Obuma Uju and Mrs Regina Ofoedu,said that they were elated,stressing that they never knew that God would help them to go all that far in the Competition which came to them in a very short notice.

They told the Students to say no to get money quick syndrome as they work on the path of self respect,honour and integrity,promising that they would continue to identify with NOA in its human oriented programs in the state.

Also,the Co- ordinators of the Integrity Clubs in the benefitting Schools, Mrs. Amaka Onyekwere and her counterpart at Ide Secondary school, Mrs.Nzekwe Gloria and that of Army Day Secondary School Onitsha Mrs. Ezenwa Njideka,maintained that the outcome of the competition at the State level would spur them to do more at the National level slated to hold next year with a view to making the State proud as well as their individual Schools.

The Presidents of the Integrity Clubs at Comprehensive Secondary school Nawfia and that of Ide Secondary school Enugu- Ukwu and thier counterpart at Army Day Secondary school Onitsha,Little master Chukwuka Execellence,Miss Kamsy Umeagwu and Okechi Pascal were not left out in celebrating the good feats ,assuring that they would not relent in making the State proud at the National competitions by upholding the tenets of discipline,personal responsibility and patriotism.
