Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, has engaged Lt. General Charles Obiakor to teach Business Security at the Business School of the institution.

The Director of Unizik Business School, Prof. Austin Nonyelu, disclosed this in a press conference in Awka, the state capital.

He said the move was one of the strategies to make the business school benefit from industrial experience.

Obiakor served as the United Nations Military Adviser for Peacekeeping Operations.

He was also the Force Commander of the United Nations Mission in Liberia.

He started his military career with the Nigerian Army in 1973, and he had also served as the Commander of the Economic Community of West African States Monitoring Group.

Lt. General Obiakor is a graduate of the National War College, while he obtained a Master of Science degree in strategic studies from the University of Ibadan.

Nonyelu also disclosed that the Director, Development Academy, who is also a leadership and governance consultant, Dr. Okey Ikechukwu, has also been engaged to teach in the school.

He said the Business School had convoked a conference of southeast , south-south governors and finance experts for 5th of April to interrogate budget issues.

He said the conference was necessitated by the challenges and problems that bedeviled Nigerian budget process at all levels of governance, which he noted had impacted negatively on service delivery.
