Nigeria elections: PDP to hold emergency NEC meeting Tuesday

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has summoned an emergency National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on Tuesday.

This was announced by the party’s spokesperson, Kola Ologbondiyan, late on Monday.

Ologbondiyan in a statement, said the meeting will hold at the Wazata Plaza headquarters of the party in Abuja at 12 noon.

He, however, did not make public the agenda of the meeting.

His announcement came less than two hours, after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said political parties were free to continue with their campaign.

The national caucus of the All Progressives Congress (APC) had held their emergency meeting on Monday in Abuja.
