New Appointments In The Church Of Nigeria, Anglican Communion

The Primate of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, The Most Rev. Henry C. Ndukuba has elected teams and task force within the last couple of days.

According to the documents of the letters made accessible to ACNN TV from the office of the General Secretary of the Anglican Communion, the appointments were created by the Primate to bolster the Church’s expansion and its institutions, the Venerable Dr Paul Dajur noted.

The appointments are as follows:

  1. Taskforce on CSS Limited
  2. Church of Nigeria Senior Clergy Course Team and
  3. Church of Nigeria Ecumenism Team

Taskforce on CSS Limited

1. Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa – Chairman

2. Dr Toyin Okeowo – Deputy Chairman
3. Lady Priscilla Eleje
4. Mr Chudi Illoh
5. Dr Olumide Philips
6. Barr Yusufu Pam
7. Sir Stanley Amuchie
8. The Rt Rev’d Timothy Yahaya

TERMS OF REFERENCE
1. Review the operations of the CSS Bookshop Ltd, CSS BookHouse and CSS/Sterling Press Ltd

2. Recommend ways of improving and repositioning the companies for optimal performance in a competitive
Nigerian Economy.
3. Propose a thriving future plan for the CSS Book House and other landed property of CSS Ltd.
4. Propose any other policy for Church of Nigeria Investment and Financial Stability.
We shall be expecting the Interim Report of your work on or before Friday October, 29, 2021.

APPOINTMENT AS CHURCH OF NIGERIA SENIOR CLERGY COURSE TEAM

We write to appoint you as the Team for the Senior Clergy Course of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion). This programme of the Church is very strategic for continuing education of our Senior Clergy in the areas of Ministry and Leadership.

1. Review and rework the curriculum of the programme to reflect the current needs of the Church.

APPOINTMENT AS THE CHURCH OF NIGERIA ECUMENISM TEAM
Greetings in the name of the LORD Jesus Christ.
We write to appoint you to serve as the Church of Nigeria Ecumenism Team that can help the Church in articulating her involvement and participation in Ecumenism. The need to have this team became necessary in the light of the marginalization that the Church of Nigeria has continued to face in Ecumenical groups that she is a part of.

TERMS OF REFERENCE
1. Review the place and role of the Church of Nigeria in our ecumenical groups.
2. Identify reasons for the lapses of the Church of Nigeria in the ecumenical bodies and how to mitigate them.
3. Articulate ways to reposition Church of Nigeria in order to recover the loss grounds and reposition to effectively play her role in the work of the ecumenical bodies.

4. Explore the possibilities of having our own block or to team up with the Roman Catholic and others to form another formidable force to counter the marginalization that the Church of Nigeria suffers in the hands of other members of the ecumenical groups.
This team will be inaugurated via zoom on Monday, August 9, 2021, by 11:00am.
