The NDLEA and NAPTIP have launched joint liaison teams to strengthen efforts against drug and human trafficking.

Following a meeting in Abuja on Friday, NAPTIP DG Binta Bello and NDLEA Chairman Brig. Gen. Buba Marwa (retd.) agreed to formalize collaboration through a proposed MoU. Marwa highlighted how traffickers exploit victims as drug mules or use substances to control them.

Both agencies emphasized the need for intelligence sharing, joint investigations, and public education. A three-member team will drive the strategy, with NAPTIP pledging full commitment to disrupting trafficking networks and safeguarding vulnerable citizens.
