In the movie industry, the making of any movie is the collective effort of every unit involved in the field. In summary, the crews; the production team of various departments, who are responsible for the smooth running of any movie production.

Their position could be said to be behind the Scene, since they are not mostly seen on screen. The Casts; these are the actors and actresses who practically interpret the characters their activities in a story through their actions or the roles assigned to them, based on the provisions of a script or as directed by directors on set. Unlike the crews, these category in the business of film making are the ones who practically interpret or play out the contents of a movie script, with the camera focusing on them.

From the explanation, or analysis above, one would agree or deduce that film making undergoes a collaborative process, where the cast and crew based on their abilities, and skills, contribute to the success of any film production; the difference being that one appears in front of the camera, and consequently on screen, while the other don’t, even though they are awarded credits through the usual means of displaying their names, and profession in the movie industry on screen.

It is these different form, or method of projecting the cast and crews, that distinguished one from the other, and as such resulted to making one famous than the other. Therefore, the cast: actors and actresses who are often shown on screen enjoy more recognition, as the audiences are more interested, and accord more respect to those they often see on screen, who do what appeals and interest them, unlike the crew who are off the screen, and so are not recognized, and well appreciated as the power behind the success of what they are enjoying.

Logically, we can accept that the crew, who are the people behind the smooth running of any film production, with efforts to project the images of the actors, and the audience who avail themselves to appreciate the crew’s works by seeing movies in which different actors, which many have made their choices are featured, unconditionally, makes stars or celebrities out of these actors by their separate actions. Yet, the audience don’t get chance to see what the crew members do different from overall picture.

Imagine a situation in a world where people appreciate, and subscribe more to TV dramas, than the life stage play, but suddenly lack the team with skills to take up the technical aspect needed to bring a story to life, through mechanical means, it will be somewhat frustrating, therefore, the importance of crew members in movie industries, with reference to Nollywood, should not be overlooked and can not be overemphasized, therefore, this sect should be considered stars or celebrities even as their positions unavoidably, remains behind the scene.

• That many actors could be referred to as experienced or perfect actors today, also boils down to the fact that the film crew pains takingly contributed to their success, in the quest to have an intriguing output in movie production.

• That an actor is the reason why tickets are sold massively in a Cinema, is the uncommon efforts of the film crew

• That an actor eventually rose to stardom is as a result of multiple corrections to mistakes made on diverse sets, by different crew members.

• That a Nollywood actor can be employed by more than one production in a day, is because production crew members have decided to project him beautifully to the world.

• That certain movie stars can’t be replaced on set, because of their worth, and unique qualities, is due to the efforts of the crew members to project him as such.
